Your Go-To Tire Shop in Wisconsin & Minnesota

Tires might not be the flashiest part of your vehicle, but they’re the only thing holding you to the road—literally. That thin layer of rubber carries all your power, performance, and safety. Worn tread, bad alignment, or the wrong set for the season can turn a smooth ride into a slippery situation fast. At Victory Tire & Auto, we take tires seriously, so you don’t have to stress about them.

Our team knows how to match the right tire to your car, your budget, and your daily drive. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions or pushing what you don’t need. Instead, we focus on traction, longevity, and value, so you get the best grip and the best deal. Whether you’re chasing comfort, hauling loads, or just trying to survive another Midwest winter, we’ve got the rubber that keeps you rolling.

Your Grip on the Road Starts With Better Tires

Your tires are the only part of your vehicle that touches the road. Just a few square inches of rubber are responsible for handling all your vehicle’s weight, power, and performance. It doesn’t matter how strong your engine is or how advanced your brakes are. If your tires are worn out or not suited for the conditions, your safety and performance take a hit.

Driving conditions change with the seasons, and your tires should match. The rubber compound and tread design need to fit the road you drive every day. Heat, cold, rain, or snow all demand different things from your tires. We’ll help you find the right fit for your vehicle, your routine, and your local roads so you can drive with control and confidence year-round.

Understand the Types of Tire Treads

Asymmetrical Tread Tires

Designed for all-weather grip, these tires combine different tread patterns on the inner and outer edges. The inside helps with wet traction, while the outside improves dry handling and cornering.

Symmetrical Tread Tires

These tires feature a consistent tread pattern across the entire surface, making them durable and versatile. They’re commonly found on everyday vehicles due to their long life and quiet ride.

Directional Tread Tires

Built for speed and performance, these tires have a V-shaped or arrow-like tread that moves water efficiently to prevent hydroplaning. They’re side-specific and can only be rotated front to back.

Tire rotation is one of the easiest ways to extend the life of your tires and improve how your vehicle handles on the road. While the exact interval can vary depending on your vehicle and the type of tires you use, most manufacturers recommend rotating your tires every 5,000 to 7,500 miles.

A good rule of thumb? Pair your tire rotation with every oil change. It keeps things simple, and it helps our techs spot uneven wear early before it leads to bigger issues like alignment problems or premature tire replacement.

The cost of new tires can vary a lot depending on your vehicle type, driving habits, and what you’re looking for in a tire. Everything from size and tread design to weather performance, road noise, and brand name can influence the final price.

For a general idea:

  • Standard passenger cars fall in the $400 – $600 range for a full set
  • SUVs land between $600 – $800
  • Pickup trucks or larger vehicles range from $800 – $1,200 or more
  • High-performance or specialty tires may push the total closer to $1,800 or more

*These estimates usually don’t include installation, which involves mounting, balancing, and tire disposal.

At Victory, we help you find the right tire that fits your budget, your driving styles, and your long-term vehicle goals. We won’t upsell you into something you don’t need, but we also won’t recommend something that doesn’t make sense for your vehicle.

Changing a tire is fairly simple, but it does come with some serious risks. While it usually involves just a few lug nuts and a jack, the danger comes from what’s holding your vehicle up and who’s driving past. If the car slips off the jack or a passing driver doesn’t see you in time, the situation can turn dangerous fast.

At Victory Tire & Auto, we change tires safely and quickly every day. But if you’re stuck on the side of the road, your best move is to call for help. Here are some trusted towing partners we recommend in your area:

Tire replacement depends on tread depth, driving conditions, and how you use your vehicle. Most new tires start with about 9/32” of tread, and over time, that number wears down with regular use. Once your tread reaches 2/32”, it’s considered legally worn out and unsafe to drive on.

However, waiting until your tread hits 2/32” isn’t ideal. For better traction and safer stopping, especially in rain or snow, most drivers should plan to replace tires around 4/32” (or 3mm).

Not sure where your tread stands? Stop by Victory Tire & Auto, and we’ll check it for free. If it’s time for new tires, we’ll help you choose a set that fits your vehicle, your budget, and your driving style.

Tires Built for Real Life, Not Just the Road

Don’t wait until your tread is worn thin or your dashboard notifies you of a flat. Whether you’re commuting, road-tripping, or just running errands, your tires should match the way you drive and the roads you face. Stop by Victory and let us help you find the perfect set of new tires, replace worn ones, or repair a leak. Your next smooth ride starts here.
