Victory Auto Service & Glass has been nominated for the Star Tribune Minnesota’s Best 2022 Award! We are honored to be considered as one of the best auto repair shops in the state of Minnesota. Our family owned and operated business, for 25 years, now has nine locations! Seven of our locations are located right here in Minnesota. Our Minnesota shops are located in Brooklyn Park, Chanhassen, Duluth, Fridley, Ham Lake, Maplewood, and Wyoming.
In 2021, Victory Auto Service & Glass was nominated for the Star Tribune Minnesota’s Best Award. Thanks to our amazing customers, we were able to win the Bronze Best Auto Service Center!
This year we are hoping to win a medal again and this time we are aiming for the GOLD! We need your help if we are going to be able to accomplish that! Below we will share four simple steps that you can take to vote for Victory.

Voting will begin at 12:00 PM Central Standard Time on Monday, April 25th, 2022. The voting will take place online, and will be open until midnight on Wednesday, May 18th. The Star Tribune encourages voters to place their votes once per day throughout the duration of the voting period. It will only take you a minute!

Our Minnesotan History
Jeff Matt, the founder of Victory Auto Service & Glass, grew up in Columbia Heights, Minnesota, where he often went to the local auto repair shop with his mom. At a young age he remembers thinking that if he could learn to fix vehicles, like the mechanics he saw, he would always be able to meet a very real need people had.
Jeff went to automotive technician training straight out of high school. He soon graduated and jumped right into the field. Jeff quickly developed a passion for taking the complex issues that vehicles have and explaining the problems and solutions to his customers in a way that made sense to them. He desired for people to be able to make informed decisions regarding their vehicle.
After working at different types of shops in the repair industry for several years, Jeff started dreaming about opening his own business where he could provide the type of service he knew people wanted. Jeff went out and found a shop for sale, met with the bank and closed his first acquisition and was able to open Victory’s very first location. We opened in March of 1997 in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota in a tiny, one bay space where Jeff could only work on one vehicle at a time.
Shortly after opening, word began to spread about the quality of service at Victory. For Jeff it was truly all about the customer’s experience and it showed. With the quickly increasing demand, Jeff hired another technician to help with the high demand of customers wanting Victory to fix their vehicles. With Victory’s service being in high demand, the need to move the business to a location with more space was great. His dedication to providing honest and dependable service, with the customer's experience at the forefront of everything he did, allowed us to begin that initial growth and has paved the way for our continued growth year after year.

Where We Are Now
We have now expanded to 9 automotive repair shops, plus the recent acquisition of a gas station! Our Minnesota locations include Brooklyn Park, Chanhassen, Duluth, Fridley, Ham Lake, Maplewood and Wyoming. Our two other locations are in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and St Petersburg, Florida. Our team has grown to include over 70 hardworking employees with an amazing leadership team, including Jason Matt (Jeff’s brother) who has been with Victory since 1999. Jason, who is Victory’s General Manager, has truly been an integral part of our growth as a company and our company’s culture. We couldn’t do it without our amazing team!
At the helm of Victory, Jeff is still leading us with the very same passion in mind that he started out with. It is an honor for Jeff and for our team to be a part of this small, family owned business that has truly grown into an amazing company with thousands of incredible customers. We are more focused than ever before on providing the very BEST experience to our customers. We know that auto repair is necessary and we know that it typically comes at inconvenient times. We are honored that you chose and trust Victory in your times of need.
